IN VIA YOUTH HOUSING

Our concept

The IN VIA youth residences in Munich are a pedagogically supervised form of accommodation for girls and young women aged between 16 and 27 who are in school or professional training. The homes were established at the turn of the century, destroyed during the war and rebuilt in the 1950s.

The "youth" phase of life with all its challenges has changed dramatically. It is a period of upheaval characterised by the search for one's own path and unanswered questions about career, partnership, identity and meaning as well as the role of women in society. The demands of society have increased and young people often lack the support they need to cope with the status transition in life. The diverse possibilities of the modern world place a huge burden of decision-making on young people.

The IN VIA youth residences create a space in which girls and young women can experience their individuality and independent living on the one hand, and community with their peers on the other. They are a place for socialisation, coping support, educational opportunities and mobility support in equal measure - on the way to their own identity and into working life.

The IN VIA youth residences play an important role as places of residence and living for girls and young women who can only achieve an appropriate education or professional training or integration into the labour market by changing their place of residence.

The pedagogical staff support and encourage the residents in overcoming individual impairments, in positively shaping their lives and in taking responsibility for themselves and the community.

The focus of the pedagogical work in the IN VIA youth residences is based on the current needs and expectations of the residents.

Our quality standards ensure and regularly review an appropriate quality of living and the need for high-quality pedagogical support that is adapted to the latest scientific findings and is therefore constantly evolving.

We are part of the "7 Stars: Quality in Youth Housing" initiative (Link to the Brochure)

Our aim is always to accompany young women successfully through their school or professional training, to experience training success together with them and to strengthen their identity.
