Frequently asked questions and answers

  1. Who looks after and cares for me?
    There are always pedagogical employees and staff in the house who take care of all your questions, concerns and worries.
  2. What do I need to bring with me?
    Apart from your personal belongings, you only need bed linen (pillowcase, duvet cover and sheets) and towels.
    You can also rent the linen for a fee.
  3. Can my friends visit me?
    Of course. Visits are possible until 10.00 pm. You just have to register your visits at reception.
    Your friends are also welcome to visit you in your room. Overnight stays are possible by arrangement for a fee.
    The common rooms on the ground floor are available for visits from your male friends. However, it is not permitted for them to stay overnight.
  4. How long can I stay out in the evening? Do I get a house key?
    You are not yet of legal age? Then you must be back in the house by 11.00 pm.
    If you are 18 years old, you will be given a house key.
    (Regulations according to the house rules and the Youth Protection Act)
  5. Are there shopping facilities and public transport stops nearby?
    All IN VIA youth residences are centrally located, i.e. they are close to a wide range of shopping facilities and have very good public transport connections.
  6. Can I cook something myself?
    Yes - our communal kitchens are at your disposal.
  7. How about smoking?
    Smoking is not permitted in our houses. However, each house has a "smoking area".
  8. Can I bring a bicycle?
    Yes - all our houses have parking spaces for bicycles.
